25th August 2017, in a building of special purpose militia detachment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was held the ceremony of delivery of the training facility by the US Embassy in Tajikistan for special purpose militia detachment (OMON) Republic of Tajikistan.
The official opening ceremony of the training facility was attended by deputy Minister of Interior major-general of militia Umarzoda Ikrom Islom, Head of Department of international cooperation Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, militia colonel Abdullozoda Zumrad, US Embassy in Tajikistan military Attache Denial Zaytuniyan, Deputy Military Attache George Stanley, Head of the International Military Major Office Krekotnev Maxim, assistant this Office Steven Lanzola and other officials.
During the event, military attache of the US Embassy in Tajikistan Denial Zaytuniyan speaking, noted the mutually beneficial cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the US Embassy in Tajikistan.
Also, Deputy Minister of the Interior major-general of militia Umarzoda Ikrom Islom in his speech stressed the development of bilateral relations in the fight against terrorism, extremism, threats and challenges of the modern world.
It was noted that the creation and delivery of a training facility contributes to the qualification and professionalism of law enforcement officers in the fight against crime, terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and other offenses.
