On September 14, 2017, deputy Minister of Internal Affairs major-general of the militia Umarzoda Ikrom Islom met with the Director of the GOPA (mbh) branch in the Republic of Tajikistan Yelena Maximenko.
The meeting was also attended by the National coordinator for militia reform major-general of the militia Shodmonzoda Farhod Alier and other officials.
During the meeting, the sides touched upon the issues of expanding cooperation in the field of preventing domestic violence, strengthening measures aimed at preventing violence in the family and other topical issues.
It should be noted that between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the branch of GOPA, on March 15, 2015, a bilateral agreement on cooperation was signed and some work was done in this direction.
In conclusion, the parties expressed their hope for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
