Today March 19, 2014, the Minister of Internal affairs of the Republic Tajikistan Lieutenant-General Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro met with the commander of Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Lieutenant General Muhammad Shafiq Fazli. The meeting was also attended by the Panj area commander Major General Muhammad Zamon.
Minister of Internal affairs Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro congratulated the guests on an international holiday of Navruz, and noted that the people of the two brotherly countries close not only geographically, but also in culture, history and language.
Also, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan called for increase cooperation between two countries in the field of the fight against crime.
The commander of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Lieutenant General Mohammad Shafiq Fazli is his turn thanked the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan for the warm welcoming, and also congratulated them.
The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in training, on improving the legal framework in the fight against terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and arms trafficking.
It was noted that in the future bilateral cooperation between the two parties of the Internal Affairs will be developed in other directions.
