Meeting with students of engineering and pedagogical College

Today, May 30, 2017, within the framework of the joint plan of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic, a meeting of police officers with teachers and students of the college took place at the engineering and pedagogical College of the Ministry of Labor, migration and social protection of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In this educational institution, which was established in 1968, over 50 years, thousands of specialists have been trained. Currently, more than 850 people study at this college; more than 120 students are provided with dwelling and necessary conditions for studying and living in a dormitory at the college.

In the event, the participants expressed their views on the issues of studying of youth, preventing negative phenomena such as the entry of citizens into extremist and terrorist organizations and other topics related to the activities of youth and students.

Head of department organizational and inspection MIA, colonel of militia Rahimzoda Abdurahim Abdurahmon with a speech, expressed his opinion on the activities of the youth, especially students, stressing the support and care of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, that the youth policy became the main priority of the Government of the country, is evidence of holding the Day of Youth of the country with the participation of the Leader of the Nation in the central stadium of the capital.

"The future of our society depends on the education and upbringing of the younger generation, for the younger generation is the creators of their Motherland," said the colonel of the militia Rahimzoda Abdurahim Abdurahmon.
In continuation it was noted that the level of crime among young people remains alarming, only for 4 months of this year, the youth had totally 1,846 crimes. Among them, unfortunately, also involved some students, 15 crimes accounted for their share.

He also, having analyzed the situation of crime among young people, especially among students, encouraged them to study, play sports, be an example among their peers, contribute to the protection of public order and promote healthy lifestyles. 

The meeting was also attended by the staff of the Service for the prevention of offenses among minors and youth of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, officers of the DMIA-1 of the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe, as well as members of the active group "Avangard", expressed their views on conducted raids and other targeted events in educational institutions.
In turn, the Director of the engineering and pedagogical College Zulaykho Zokirova made a speech and expressed her gratitude to the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for holding such a fruitful meeting that such meetings contribute to strengthening cooperation between police and students in the prevention of crimes in society and among young people.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs once again congratulated the students of the Engineering and Pedagogical College on the Year of Youth, and expressed the hope that the initiative of the Leader of the Nation would contribute to the implementation of plans to strengthen the role of youth in the prosperity and development of the country.
