In the framework of cooperation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the US Embassy in Tajikistan in the territory of Jamoat Chorkuh Isfara have been opened two operating offices for performance of police officers. Operating offices of district inspectors and the Center for the interaction of society with the police located in the administrative building of the Jamoat, and provided with all necessary conditions perfect. These creative works have been implemented in the framework of the Strategy and Reform (Development) Programme of the militia for 2014-2020.
At the opening ceremony of the office was attended Deputy Minister of the Interior – major-general of militia Abdullo Navjuvonov, Chairman of Isfara Dilshod Rasulzoda, representatives of the US Embassy in Tajikistan, personnel DMIA-2 Isfara Township, residents and Jamoat Chorkuh.
In the speeches, it was noted that in different cities and regions of the republic were opened and put into operation 35 centers of interaction of society with the police. The establishment of such centers aim to strengthen cooperation with the police community, the protection of public order, combating crime and public safety.
It is worth to mention that first opening of a newly established Community Policing Partnership Team (CPPT) in Chorkuh was organized in September 2016. The members were trained on Community Policing Concept, problem analysis, prioritization and development of prevention plans Police and CPPT member from Bobojon Gafurov district, Tajikistan. Since December 2016 Chorkuh CPPT implements mini-project on increasing the level of legal literacy in the area. They organize outreach campaigns/meetings with activists, parents and schoolchildren, publish leaflets and place banners in the key points.
