Today in Dushanbe, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended the cornerstone laying ceremony for the construction of new building facilities of the Islamic Institute of Tajikistan named after Imom Azam - Abu Hanifa Nu'mon Ibn Sobit.
The new building of the Islamic Institute of Tajikistan will accommodate 1,500 students in one shift. A total of 136 million somoni of government budget money will be allocated for the construction of the Institute that will cover 3 ha.
The main building of Islamic Institute will consist of five seven-storey blocks, and its project will be carried out according to modern architecture and town-planning standards.
According to the project, the Institute will have educational buildings, administrative buildings, library, gym hall, dormitory, conference hall and cafeteria.
A one two-storey building, universal sports hall, a recreation place with fountains and awnings, parking for transport and other auxiliary facilities will be built here.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon instructed responsible persons to take the necessary measures to build the facility at a high quality level and in accordance with the requirements of the project.
It should be noted that the new building of the Islamic Institute named after Imom Azam - Abu Hanifa Nu'mon Ibn Sobit will be built next to the “Great Mosque”, construction of which is being continued.
